Brock Lesnar’s return to WWE at SummerSlam in 2021 was a big surprise, but what surprised fans was that he returned as a babyface. The last time Lesnar was a babyface in the company was in 2015 when he returned to battle with then-WWE Champion Seth Rollins. The main pay-per-view event
Despite this, Brock Lesnar was for a long time a character that transcended face and heel dynamics. Because the character is larger than life, he and his rival The Undertaker are perhaps the only two Superstars in the past decade to completely abandon the idea of being a babyface or a heel.
Even then, Lesnar is mostly known as a top heel. He returned in 2015, a few months after losing his WWE title to Seth Rollins at WrestleMania 31. When he returned, he had the status of a babyface. When Undertaker returned to the battlefield In 2015 the SummerSlam feud started, it was. dead person who was positioned as a heel – he often used cheap tactics during his feuds.
Brock Lesnar’s last long run as a babyface was in 2002-03, where he became an instant WWE Superstar. However, later in 2003, he feuded with Kurt Angle and remained so until he left the company in 2004.
When Lesnar returned to WWE in 2012, he was seen as a dangerous heel for the first few years, especially when he ended a streak at Undertaker’s WrestleMania in 2014.
Brock Lesnar’s Final Babyface
Brock Lesnar’s last babyface run in 2015 was short-lived. He faced Seth Rollins once and The Undertaker twice, losing to him at SummerSlam before winning his final match at Hell in a Cell 2015.
In 2016, he seems to have moved beyond the traditional role of a babyface heel. It will be interesting to see how Lesnar fares as a babyface in 2021. It can be put this way for two reasons – the first is that Roman Reigns is the top five in WWE. And second, because Brock Lesnar returned to the company after an absence of nearly a year and a half.
As far as we know, Lesnar could regain his role as a wrestler in 2022 if he’s not still feuding with Reigns. One thing is certain, there are few superstars in the history of WWE who can be the center of attention at the box office like this incarnate beast.
