When 50 Cent compared Floyd Mayweather’s dressing style to Mary J. Blige to fuel his beef with the boxer

  • by

50 Cent has had a long-running feud with Floyd Mayweather since 2012. He is a popular rapper who often takes to social media to poke fun at boxing legends.

In a 2019 post, 50 Cent compared Mayweather’s outfit to that of R&B singer and actress Mary J. Blige. According to the New York native, Blige performed better than Mayweather. In his eyes, the 50-0 makar looked like a “jockey”.

Shaking off his beef with “Money,” 50 Cent wrote on Instagram:

“I think Mary rocked it better. The champ looks like a royal jockey. Lol.”

Floyd Mayweather and 50 Cent were best friends and business partners before their mutual problems began. The reason for their exile is apparently a disagreement over their business issues after Mayweather was released from prison in 2012.

The rapper claims he invested nearly $2 million in Floyd’s company, The Money Team, which Mayweather refused to return. In addition to trading a few jabs on social media since then, 50 Cent has also been offered a fight by the former world champion. The rapper told V-103s Morning Culture earlier this year:

“I’ll fight Floyd. I don’t think I can make weight … or he just won’t let me get down to 150. I tried, I looked like a homeless person. I could cut it. Like, 180.

Floyd Mayweather hasn’t exactly been clear about his feud with 50 Cent. As ‘Money’ reports, the rapper suddenly made an unfair request for half of his company. Providing some details, Mayweather said on the Champside podcast:

“You can’t hang out with me every day for years, and then all of a sudden, if I don’t give you half my company, you’re going to say, ‘You fool, you fool, you can ‘don’. Don’t do it.’ Do and you can’t. But if I can’t do all that, why are you hanging out with me? That’s all I’m trying to add. If I’m the type of person who doesn’t do some things. You know and I’m not that fast so why do you want to be with me every day.”
