It’s been over three weeks since the release of one of the most anticipated Minecraft updates since 2021. Unfortunately, the Minecraft Caves & Cliffs update was only partially released because Mojang decided to split it into two parts.
The first part, which has been released, introduces three new mobs to the game, including Axolotls. Axolotls are sedentary aquatic creatures found in water below sea level (y63) where it is completely dark.
Axolotls are the cutest predators a player will ever encounter as they will attack all water mobs except dolphins and turtles. This feature will be very useful for players who want to conquer marine monuments.
Axolotls have five colors: blue, pink, brown, gold and cyan, and blue is the rarest axolotl that can be obtained as an offspring after breeding (0.83% chance).

How can players get an axolotl to pet in Minecraft?
Unfortunately, players can’t tame axolots like wolves, but they can come close to having them as pets in Minecraft.
Once a player has found an axolotl, the first thing to do is pour a bucket of water on it to get a bucket of axolotl. If you do this, even if the player decides to release the axolotl on the high seas, it will never disappear.
Axolotls will start to take damage after being out of water for more than 5 minutes, so players can also use lead on axolotls, and then attach the lead to the fence in the water. This will keep the axolotl under water. Raising these cute little water mobs is one way to grow them to get more axolotl pets.
The process of raising them is very simple, as players only have to feed the aquatic fish to two axolotls, and they will be bred to give birth to a baby axolotl. Players can feed these baby axolotls aquatic fish, which will reduce their remaining development time by 10%.
