Jim Cornette reacted to Steve Austin’s Stone and Stone Cold support for him and The Midnight Express’ induction into WWE’s Hall of Fame in a post on Instagram.
An Instagram lunatic titled “Old School Wrestling Lover” recently released a classic wrestling clip from the Mid-South. The video features matches between the Rock ‘n’ Roll Express and The Midnight Express with the latter teaming with Jim Cornette.
The announcement was witnessed by WWE Hall of Famer Stone Cold Steve Austin, who endorsed Cornette and The Midnight Express for the WWE Hall of Fame. The Rock also spoke, calling it his favorite period in the fight. Bigg fully agreed with The Rattlesnake regarding the WWE Hall of Fame induction for Cornette and The Midnight Express.
Jim Cornette has now responded to The Rock and Stone Cold’s comments. Here’s the legendary manager’s response:
“Well, I appreciate it, if that’s really The Rock’s real bill. God, I hate to say this … I’m going to sound like a selfish boss** now, but Steve has done it in the past. He told me he loved his work on the Midnight Express. And The Rock, he mentioned it several times, except for the fact that it was precisely because his favorite show on NBC was the wrestling show ** amn on “Young Rock… 80s and territory”. And he was a Midnight Express fan. It’s no secret. So I have no reason to believe he doesn’t comment on that and I appreciate it. “
Cold Rocks words carry a lot of weight in the world of professional wrestling.
Steve Austin’s name, stone-cold and stone-cold, almost always comes up when fans talk about the greatest professional wrestlers in history. The two played a role in helping Vince McMahon defeat WCW during the Monday Wars in the late 90s. Rock and Austin have had legendary careers that have given fans countless moments to cherish forever.
