In the video, Blakely tears up the ball before revealing that each of his employees has bought two first-class plane tickets to anywhere in the world.
He added: “If you want to travel, you want to go to a really nice dinner, you want to go to a really nice hotel, and so on, two first-class tickets are everywhere in the world. Every One is getting $10,000.
“I really want every employee to celebrate this season in their own way and create memories that will last a lifetime! Cheers to the magic of 21 and over,” she wrote on Instagram.
In her interview, she pays tribute to “the women who came before me, and all the women in the world who didn’t have this opportunity.”
When he founded Spanx in 2000, he did so with a $5,000 profit, Blakely said.
Last week, private equity firm Blackstone said it would make the most of its brand. Economic terms were not disclosed, but the firm noted eight figures in a news release.
