Petr Yan reveals who he thinks won the T.J. Dillashaw vs. Cory Sandhagen fight

Peter Yan gives his opinion on the Cory Sandhagan vs. TJ Dilshaw fight. According to the former UFC bantamweight champion, Sindhagan did not win the fight.

During a conversation with Ariel Helwani MMA watch, Peter Yan simply stated that he thought Sandhagan won the battle against Dilasho. ‘No Mercy’ admitted that the clash was close, but maintained that Dilshaw, who returned, deserved to walk away with the victory.

“No, I don’t think so. I don’t think he won the fight. It was a very close fight, but he didn’t win the fight.

Back in July, Sandhagan and Dillashaw squared off in an incredible five-round main event fight. The fight was Dillashaw’s return to the UFC and ‘The Sandman’ pushed him to his limits.

After a series of battles between the two, Dilsha was the one who emerged victorious. Many believed that Sendhagan was the one who should have been declared the winner tonight. However, it was the former UFC bantamweight champion who was the winner on the judges’ list.

Originally, Yan needed a rematch against his biggest rival, Aljamin Sterling, who controversially won the belt at UFC 259 after being caught by ‘No Mercy’ with an illegal knee.

After Sterling retired, Sandhagan was announced as the replacement. Despite losing to Dillashaw, ‘The Sandman’ has a shot at UFC gold. He certainly deserves to fight for the belt after two incredible wins over Marlon Morris and Frankie Edgar before a heavy loss to Dillashaw.
