Olympic schedule and events to watch Monday

Beach Volleyball: The American team of April Ross and Alex Kleinman will face Spain’s Liliana Fernandez and Elsa Baquerizo. The events air in the US at 8pm ET and are also streamed live.

Swimming: Ryan Murphy (men’s 100m backstroke) and Lily King (women’s 100m breaststroke) compete.

The swim finals begin at 9:30 pm ET on NBC and live. The swimming heats started at 6am in the US and were also televised live.

Surf: Both the men’s and women’s surfing competitions advance to the quarterfinals (they are subject to change depending on wave conditions).

The quarterfinals and semifinals will begin at 6 p.m. ET. The live telecast will be as follows: Men’s Quarterfinals at 6:00 PM ET, Women’s Quarterfinals at 20:20 ET, Men’s Semifinals at 22:45 ET and Women’s Semifinals at 12:00 ET.

Women’s Basketball: Look for Sue Bird, Diana Taurasi and Brenna Stewart. The women’s basketball team is favored to win its seventh consecutive gold medal in Tokyo. Moving on to Tuesday morning, you can watch USA vs. Nigeria at 12:40 am ET in the US.

Women’s Gymnastics: Simone Biles, Sunny Lee, Jordan Chiles and Grace McCallum are the contestants. The women’s team world finals begin Tuesday at 6:45 a.m. ET.

Audiences can also watch games through the NBC Sports app or through various subscription services that offer live TV options, such as Hulu, YouTube, and CNN parent AT&T.
