The 2020-21 edition of the league returns to action this weekend with another round of matches as Villarreal host Levante at the Ciutat de Valencia on Sunday. Both teams have been impressive this season and have a point to prove entering this game.
Levante are currently ninth in the La Liga standings and have not been at their best in recent weeks. The Valencia-based side managed to beat Eibar 1-0 last weekend and will be looking to draw a similar result in this match.
Villarreal, on the other hand, are currently seventh in the league table and have fallen after a brilliant start to the season. The Yellow Submarines have reached the semi-finals of the Europa League and have something to prove in this match.
Levante vs Villarreal, head to head match
Villarreal have a great record against Levante and have won 19 of the 30 matches played between the two teams. Levante have managed just seven wins against Villarreal and will have to be at their best in this match.
The last meeting between the two Spanish sides took place earlier this year in February, and ended in a 2:0 victory for Levante. Villarreal were well below their best and cannot afford another defeat this weekend.
