The House Select Committee investigating the Jan. 6 riots at the U.S. Capitol admitted it tampered with text message exchanges between former White House Chief of Staff Mark Meadows and Rep. Jim Jordan (R-Ohio). .
In a statement to the Washington Examiner, a committee spokesperson said, “The Select Committee on Monday prepared and provided a graphic that was sent to Mr. Meadows by ‘a lawmaker’ for Representative Schiff to use in a business meeting.” The text message was quoted.”

He added that “the graphic that Schiff presented, which was made to look like an exact screenshot, was doctored as well, because it contained content that was never in the original message. and the content was subsequently removed.”
He asserted that Schiff “cut and diced” the legal brief and then linked it to Jordan.
