But hours later, Akam posted on social media to let wrestling fans know that AOP isn’t over yet.
Now, just hours before taking over NXT: At Your Home, their former manager Paul Ellering took to social media to lash out at the former NXT tag team champions, brandishing the black and gold stamp in a tweet.
“There isn’t a team in wrestling today that can beat AOP. @WWENXT @WWENetwork trust me I know,” tweeted Paul Ellering.

Akham, who confirmed that the tag team has not yet been withdrawn, retweeted a message from Paul Ellering in support of his manager, sparking a possible return to the team’s dreadful debut. More flare ups.
If the writers of pain return, it probably couldn’t come at a better time for NXT as their men’s and women’s wards are struggling with depth right now.
The return of the former NXT Tag Team Champions with Paul Elring could be exactly what the Black and Gold brand needs to regain some momentum in the division.
