Is Brandon Ingram playing tonight against the OKC Thunder? | 2021-22 NBA season

  • by

New Orleans Pelicans’ Brandon Ingram has missed five games in the NBA, and is listed as questionable for later tonight against the OKC Thunder. The Pelicans currently have their best star, Zion Williamson, also out with a fractured right foot and are on a seven-game losing streak with a 1-10 record.

However, Ingram has been participating in training since last week and is reportedly close to returning. He had a great start to the campaign, averaging 25 points, 7.3 rebounds and 4.8 assists over the first six games. He is the only New Orleans Pelicans player to score more than 20 points per game, and head coach Willie Green will be rubbing his hands in anticipation of the 2020 All-Star’s return.

What is Brandon Ingram’s status for tonight’s game against the OKC Thunder?

Brandon Ingram was again listed as questionable on the latest injury report released by the OKC Thunder. Ingram last played in the loss against the San Antonio Spurs, but has reportedly been training since last week. Additionally, various reports stated that he was seen during the team’s practice prior to the Pelicans’ game against the Dallas Mavericks and was rumored to return.

But Brandon Ingram eventually sat again, a move that could be the result of the New Orleans Pelicans’ cautious approach. He can be expected to play in the match against OKC Thunder, especially since he was considered almost ready to play in the last game. However, the pro staff decided to sit him out for one more game, which should change against the OKC Thunder.

In addition to Brandon Ingram and Zion Williamson, the Pelicans are currently missing Daulton Holmes, while Herbert Jones is also listed as questionable. The game against OKC is the first of three consecutive home games for the New Orleans Pelicans. They meet the Brooklyn Nets in the next game and look forward to Brandon Ingram’s return later tonight.
