How to create collaborative playlists on Spotify

Have you ever wanted to create a playlist that you can edit with others? Back in the day, when I was traveling with a few friends, the two sitting in the front seat had to control the music all the time. Obviously I was polite about it, but if they knew how to make collaborative playlists Spotify, maybe I wouldn’t have to pretend to be asleep the whole time.

When trying to set the mood for any event, it can be difficult to satisfy everyone’s tastes if one person controls all the music. Collaborative playlists are a quick, easy, fun way to make sure everyone hears what they love.

To start a collaborative playlist on Android or iOS Create a new playlist and give the playlist a name. Head and shoulder buttons with plus sign. Press down Cooperation Share the link with people you want to collaborate with on your playlist.

To launch a collaborative playlist from your desktop Create a new playlist Click the button Collaboration Playlist Select from the drop down. Share it From the dropdown you can share the link with the people you want to collaborate with on the playlist.

How to Create Collaborative Playlists on Spotify (iOS and Android)

The Spotify mobile app is where many, if not most, people listen to music and manage playlists. For example, on the aforementioned road trip, we all used the Spotify phone app to play music through our car’s Bluetooth speaker system.

Here’s how to create a collaborative playlist in the Spotify mobile app.

Open the Spotify mobile app and press the button shown below. My library Go to this tab. press + To start a new playlist, press the button in the upper right corner.

How to Create a Collaborative Playlist on Spotify (Desktop)

The Spotify web player and the desktop app have many similarities. They are almost identical. However, there is an important difference in this case. Web Player does not support creating shared playlists.

Here’s how to create collaborative playlists in the Spotify desktop app.

Open the Spotify desktop app. Create a playlist Click the button.

If you want, you can edit the auto-generated playlist name by clicking on it. In this case, Spotify has created the title “My Playlist #1” for this new playlist.

You can also add a description and cover photo while editing the playlist name.
