Genshin Impact 2.4 leaks: New ‘Junk’ chests to reward Mora

  • by

Genshin Impact is ready to introduce Enkanomi with update 2.4. Players are excited to explore the new region as it will introduce several new mechanics and chest types.

Lex recently discovered ‘junk’ crates during Genshin Impact 2.4 beta testing. Here’s everything you need to know about this new type of box.

New trash cans will reward Mora players in Genshin Impact.

Thanks to the beta testers, it has been confirmed that Enkanomiya will be a huge region. It has many teleport routes and has over 200 crates. However, unlike Tsurumi Island, there are no unusual chests that give Serenite vessel designs.

Instead, a new type of chest is found in the Enkanomiya region called a ‘junk’ chest. These crates are evenly distributed throughout the region and players will receive Mora once opened.

Mora reward will be random and players can get 10,000 or 15,000 Mora from them.

According to 46cba on Twitter, waste bins in Encanomia are not located in common areas such as monster camps. Travelers will have to find them in discrete areas and ‘open’ them to collect prizes.

As for the trash cans, they’re like the random “Explore” spots you’ll find on the map and they drop random stuff. They won’t lure you from far away, nor will you find them where normal chests would be traditionally buried (monster camps, for example).

How many crates are available at Encanomia?

One of the biggest reasons players are excited about Genshin Impact version 2.4 is the Sakura Tree level expansion. The tree is currently maxed out at Lv. 40, which will be increased to Lv. 50 with an upcoming update.

Of course, raising a tree requires electro-signals, which can be grown by opening crates. While sweaty players have already grabbed every suitcase in Anazuma and collected extra sigils, casual players will be delighted to know that Enkanomiya has over 280 crates.

I counted a total of 206 crates in Enkanomiya. And there are no Ikea chests, although they could have been added later during the beta or after release (and I may be incompetent because I was in a bit of a hurry).

In the incoming area, 200 crates belong to the ordinary, exquisite, precious and luxurious categories and about 82 of them are waste bins.
