Genshin Impact 1.5 leaks revealed that the upcoming version will introduce a case system. Although its purpose and function are unclear, another set of leaks showed items included in the housing system.
The leak includes several items that players can use to build furniture. They also tease some decorative and functional items that could make the housing system interactive, not just a fake shelter.

The leak comes from Twitter user AE Entropy, who is known in the community for his Genshin Impact related leaks and updates. According to the data leak, four new materials will be used to make wooden furniture.
The only resources for equipping materials seem to be wooden logs of various types and rare with 1 star. However, furnishings are of varying rarity, which can cost varying amounts of currency to craft.

Custom currency appears to have a low premium in Genshin Impact, used to purchase various items and new locations required for the housing system.
Players can also use the realm’s currency to purchase drafts from the Realm Depot and the “Traveling Seller’s Teapot”, which they will encounter frequently.
As shown in the tweet linked above, a collection of different furniture can be placed in the house to complete the decor.

From the data lake, it’s hard to gauge the real purpose of the housing system other than hanging out with friends. While this won’t add much to the story, it can bring a lot of non-repeatable content into the late game.
Finally, the housing system will offer more content for end players. Players who often complete tasks, research and storylines quickly may have some content to play in the housing system in Genshin Impact v1.5.
