Aiming to climb to second in the Italian Serie A table, Atalanta travel to the Luigi Ferraris Stadium to take on Genoa on Tuesday.
The hosts are without a win in any of their last 15 championships and will open the game with the aim of ending this dreadful streak.
Genoa were knocked down on their return to Serie A last Friday after a 3-1 defeat by Lazio.
Earlier, Andriy Shevchenko’s men snapped a 14-game losing streak with a 1-0 victory over Salerno in the Italian Cup round of 16.
Genoa have now failed to taste a 3-2 victory over Cagliari in September and the poor run leaves them third in the Serie A table.
Likewise, Atalanta failed to make it two wins from the last two timeouts as they lost 4-1 to AS Roma.
This was followed by a 2–1 victory over Hellas Verona, where Alexi Miranchuk and Tevin Koopmaners scored to cancel out Giovanni Simeone’s opener in the 22nd minute and turn the game around.
Atalanta have now lost two of their last three games and, with 37 points from 18 games, are currently third in the table, two points behind second-placed Milan who have a game in hand.
