Review the Garmin Vino Body Battery.

Garmin Body Battery Garmin aims to provide energy insight and training readiness. This function is multiple devices it can help to educate users more effectively. But is it really a useful feature? How it works? I will explain.

How it works

Stress and activity data, combined with body battery heart rate variability (HRV), to calculate a user’s expected energy reserves, according to Garmin’s website. Use this information to create a number between 1-100. where 100 is the maximum energy.

HRV is a useful measure of sympathetic nervous system dominance. The sympathetic nervous system is responsible for the “fight or flight” response and is associated with, among other things, increased heart rate, immune suppression, digestion and anxiety. Normally, when we exhale, we become a little more parasympathetic and the body relaxes a little. This slows the heart rate slightly, providing “variation”.

If the heart rate does not change much during exhalation. When variability is low, the body is under a lot of pressure to calm itself down. It is associated with physical excitement, illness, toxicity, psychological stress, hunger or incomplete recovery.

Stress and activity

HRV data is combined with stress, Garmin says. This is derived from HRV data, but you can see how the two metrics interact in the screenshot above. Generally higher voltage = battery drains faster as expected.

Your activity level can help you contextualize this data. If you are training hard for 5 days in a row, you are more likely to be exhausted.

Sleep data also affects your body battery score. Garmin is the best way to recharge your battery. Get a deep sleep while wearing the device.

Importantly, the Garmin Body battery relies on collected data. After a very relaxing day, you can look back on your previous activities. This is important. Just because you didn’t get a good night’s sleep doesn’t mean you’re instantly drained of energy. But you start losing 5 nights of sleep!

So how useful is the Garmin Body Battery? The answer will vary greatly depending on your personal usage. Many people believe that the body battery reflects subjective energy levels fairly accurately. It helps in decision making.

It’s important to know how difficult it is to train in a given situation, because simply pushing when you’re tired can wear your body down without giving you a chance to recover. This can lead to overtraining. Lack of recovery – In some cases, this is considered a more accurate term.

At the very least, you need adequate recovery time to get the best results from your training. For example, weight training consists of two phases. While we provide the stimulus for growth in the gym, it is during the anabolic interval that muscles actually recover and grow. …
