Four passengers on the train are injured in an Amtrak crash with a truck in Oklahoma

Amtrak train 822 was traveling between Fort Worth, Texas, and Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, when it collided with a truck on the BNSF railroad tracks near Thackerville, spokesman Mark Magliari said. The collision happened around 7:00 PM (CT).

In a Facebook post, the Lowe County Sheriff’s Office described the truck as a “semi-car carrier.”

“The driver of the semi and his dog are shaken, but all are alive,” the sheriff’s office said.

According to Love County Sheriff Marty Gresham, four people were taken by ambulance to a local hospital.

Four passengers suffered minor injuries, Amtrak said. The company had 110 passengers and crew on board the train at the time of the accident.

Local authorities are investigating the incident.
