Everything you need to know about Pokemon GO’s Dia de los Muertos event

It looks like Pokemon Go will celebrate more than just Halloween this year.

Dia de los Muertos is a Mexican holiday that serves as their version of All Saints’ Dinner. It is believed that their loved one has traveled to another world, and is returning on Día de los Muertos.

Pokemon GO celebrates this special holiday with lots of cool spins and bonuses.

Extraordinary benefits in the new Pokemon GO event after Halloween

The Pokemon GO celebration of Dia de los Muertos will take place on November 1, 2021, the day after Halloween. The event will feature new additions, new bonuses and a new collection challenge that allows coaches to earn Shedenja.

Since Dia de los Muertos is a Latin American holiday, trainers in Latin America and the Caribbean will see them spread out in the wild more often.

However, the featured Pokemon will be available worldwide. These Pokemon will appear more frequently in Latin American countries.

The full list of Pokemon that will appear frequently is as follows:

  • Cubone
  • Sankaran
  • Sun Flora
  • Come on
  • Houndome
  • Sable
  • Roselia
  • Draflon
  • Yamask

Great Hunters will be lucky during this event as all of these Pokemon except Sun Flora have a chance to become the best. Tracksuits don’t lose much on Sunflora either, as they can always catch a great hybrid and develop it.

Also, each of these Pokemon will be attracted to Roselia and the Incense and Bait modules. Pokemon such as Cubone, Eloline Marvok, Roselia, and Sankaran can also be found during field research.

The bonuses for Dia de los Muertos will be Lure Modules for an hour and a half and Incense for an hour and a half. Coaches from Latin America and the Caribbean will also be awarded +1 transfer bonus candy.

In addition to these bonuses, coaches can earn a free Dia de los Muertos T-shirt for their avatar. It comes with a box that gives 20 free Pokeballs.

The t-shirt is a tribute to a tradition in Mexico called papel picado (in English key paper). This is where people in Mexico decorate their shirts in honor of Dia de los Muertos.
