Damien Priest expressed his desire to be a good role model as a Latino wrestler.
Ahead of the title clash at this summer’s biggest party, Damian Priest is in an interview with Jose G of SportsCade Wrestling.
You know it’s funny because when you set out to achieve something like me, my dream was to be a WWE Superstar, right?! But you don’t understand the platform you have. I never thought that way. You know, you can represent and inspire. And now I have that platform and I see how people feel and I’m proud. So I like the idea of being a representative of Latin Americans. “, Damian priest said.
The notorious shooter added that he doesn’t want to stop there and wants to be representative of all cultures. He asked the fans to bring flags to WrestleMania and said that he wanted to think of himself as a representative of humanity.
But I don’t want to stop here. I want to be representative of all cultures. For example, for [Wrestle] Mania, I asked fans to bring flags, no matter where you’re from, because if someone has a flag that no one else recognizes and they ask. They just learn something about someone else’s culture. Humanity is a beautiful thing together, and we can especially learn from each other. I would like to think of myself as a representative of humanity. “
Damian Priest is proud that Latinos are emulating him.
Damian Priest said he was proud that Latinos were following him. He added that he is happy that people see him not only because he is a wrestler but also as a representative of their culture.
“But right now with the Latino culture and me, I’m so proud that Latinos look up to me and I see it all the time. I stopped for gas and somebody came up to me and said in Spanish like, ‘Hey, man. Thank you for representing.’ That’s great. They don’t thank me for being a wrestler. They don’t thank me for anything other than being a representative of their culture, and that means the world to me.”, Damian Priest added. said
