Musetti continued his momentum with the Acapulco Open, where he reached the semifinals. Considered one of the favorites for the Cagliari title, the youngster proved those claims right by surpassing Evans in most departments.
Meanwhile, Laszlo Djere has won both of his matches this week in straight sets. In his first round, the Serb defeated Federico Gaia 6-4, 6-2.
The Serb won 78% of his service points against Guy, losing serve only once. And in winning Millman, Jere scored 69% of his service points, impressive given the Aussie’s return skills and athleticism.
Degere has only been broken twice in the event so far, suggesting he feels confident about his serve – something Musetti will have to watch out for on Friday.
