Alyssa Milano Looking To ‘Potentially Run’ Against Rep. Tom McClintock

Actress and activist Alyssa Milano has revealed that she is considering running for the House in 2024.

“I’m looking at California’s 4th district as a possibility,” Milano told ITK on Tuesday [Rep. Tom] McClintock (R) “

“I split my time between Truckee, Calif., and Bell Canyon, Calif., and Republicans generally have a strong arm in the 4th District,” he added.

“He might consider flipping that chair,” Milano explained, continuing, “I think it’s going to take name recognition and deep pockets for someone to get to McClintock, and so consider—I I think about it. I’m generally gathering information now, talking to different consultants, talking to the community.”

The actor also said, “It will be about time.”

He previously indicated on Twitter that he was asking if he would run against McClintock.

“Congressman McClintock is one of 63 Republicans who opposed the Asian hate crime bill. This is my congressman. Shall I oppose it?” Milano tweeted.

When asked about other celebrities considering running for the position, Milano told ITK, “I hope they can put the work in place before trying to take over. “

It will be noted that she “has been an activist since I was 15 years old,” Milano continued, adding, “My first photos in the White House were with Nancy Reagan. I’ve been here that long.”

Milano claimed his “desire to make the world a better place”.

McClintock won again in 2020. He was first elected to Congress in 2008. Prior to that, he served 22 years in the California State Legislature.

Milano made headlines in 2018 after attending a hearing on allegations of misconduct against Supreme Court Justice Brett Cavanagh during his confirmation process.
