Aloy release date details in Genshin Impact: When and how to get Aloy as a playable character

  • by

Horizon Zero Dawn’s Aloy will become a feature character in Genshin Impact version 2.1 for PlayStation players and version 2.2 for all other platforms.

Specifically, PlayStation players will be able to request Alloy on September 1, 2021. Players on mobile devices and computers can do so on October 13, 2021. Amazingly, it will be available for players for free on all platforms for their release dates.

Aloy Ganshin is a 5-star Cryo Bow user in Impact, and his skills are already leaked. Interestingly, it doesn’t seem to have a turret, which would make sense given the limited time with only one known copy. It is not known if this will change in the future, but it is easy to achieve.

Aloe in Genshin Impact: Release Date and Details

As mentioned earlier, PlayStation players have the opportunity to purchase Aloy on September 1, 2021. They can receive it by mail for free if they are of an adventure rank of 20+; This is the only condition.

This part is considered “Phase I” and takes place after the launch of Genshin Impact 2.1. This will end after the launch of Genshin Impact 2.2.

All other Genshin Impact players can obtain Aloy will receive it on November 24, 2021 at 05:59 UTC + 8. This part is considered “Phase II” and takes place after the launch of Genshin Impact 2.2.

As before, Genshin Impact players in the second phase will receive Aloy in their mail if they have an adventure rank of 20+. This is just a request and it is not known if there will be more copies in the future.

A common misconception about Aloy’s release date.

According to miHoYo, the first stage occurs when:

“After version 2.1 update – version 2.2 update starting (13 October 2021 05:59 UTC + 8)”

It has been reported by many other retailers that Aloy arrives for PlayStation users on October 13, 2021. This is not true. Of course, it’s easy to see why they would make such a careless mistake.

The dash between “…updating to version 2.1” and “starting version 2.2 …” indicates that this is the time in which PlayStation users can claim Aloy. This doesn’t mean it will happen after the launch of Genshin Impact 2.2.

The same goes for Phase II, as miHoYo explains:

“After version 2.2 update – version 2.3 update starting (November 24, 2021, 05:59 UTC + 8)”

This does not mean that players on PCs and mobile devices can claim Aloy after the launch of version 2.3. It says that they have time to launch Genshin Impact 2.3.

It’s easy to get it wrong, but a surprising amount of other media outlets have misreported it.
