GTA San Andreas has a great story full of memorable moments, but some aspects of it seem strange at first glance.
The overall story of Fr gta: san Andreas is well written and is an action that most GTA San Andreas fans fondly remember. However, there are minor aspects of the story that seem strange upon further examination.
Unsurprisingly, much of this has to do with the character of Ryder, who is written as an antagonist. This is not to say that GTA San Andreas has a bad story or anything like that (far from it actually).
It’s a small blemish on an otherwise remarkable story that will be loved by past and future generations of players.
There are three strange elements to the story of GTA San Andreas.
#3 – What happened on Thorne’s last flight?
Anyone who has played GTA San Andreas knows that Mike Torino is alive and well after this mission. However, CJ shot down a helicopter with someone in it, so the question is what actually happened?
If Torino was in that helicopter, he was surprisingly comfortable with the CJ. Alternatively, it meant that someone else might have died in his place if Torino predicted the Chief Justice’s actions.
In any case, the mission of GTA San Andreas is mysterious when we look at it in retrospect.
This mission works brilliantly by setting the tone for Mike Torn’s surprise return and discovery of who he is. Yet, this part of GTA San Andreas’ story has been swept under the rug for most of the important events.
#2 – Why is Ryder supplying weapons to Grove Street?

After the mission, while robbing Uncle Sam, various members of the Grove Street family can be found roaming Los Santos with the Tec-9. It’s a significant upgrade over a gun, knife, or fist, so it’s unusual that Ryder is willing to help strengthen the GSF given its treachery.
There’s a theory that Ryder didn’t always have to be the villain in GTA San Andreas, which would make sense given the situation. If he should never have betrayed the GSF and wasn’t just an ally, then it’s quite reasonable to help them anyway.
Unfortunately, this is not the case. Instead, one should just assume that Rider is an idiot for helping enemies like this.
#1 – Why is Ryder rarely mentioned after his betrayal?

On a similar note to the previous entry is how weird everyone reacts to Ryder releasing the GSF. When seen next to Green Saber with Big Smoke, CJ says:
“What’s the matter? Oh no! Shi*t, smoke, what are you doing?”
It’s strange that CJ completely ignores Ryder (who appears for the first time in this scene), referring to him as allegedly one of CJ’s best friends when they were kids.
Unfortunately for Ryder, he is rarely mentioned until the end of the game, and Big Smoke is mostly…
